Frequently asked questions.

Answers to the most common questions about Wanamaker, the platform, pricing and security.

About Wanamaker.

What is Wanamaker?

Wanamaker sets up an AI‑Native Advertising Production Platform for each brand. The marketing team enters product, objective and market and gets the complete campaign set back within an hour, in every format and for every market. The platform works with the brand's own imagery and follows its own brand rules, so less budget goes to production and more to media.

What is an AI‑Native Advertising Production Platform?

An AI‑Native Advertising Production Platform is a production platform for digital advertising with AI in every step, from briefing to version control. Wanamaker sets it up for each brand around the brand rules, processes and channel specs already in place. The brand's own team works with it and stays in charge of what goes live.

Who is Wanamaker for?

Wanamaker is for organisations with a substantial digital budget and a structural need for digital assets, for example because of many markets, many channels or many product launches. The team has experience in Automotive & Bike, Fashion & Retail, pure play eCommerce, Gaming and FMCG, but the platform works outside these sectors too.

How is Wanamaker different from a creative agency?

Wanamaker does not create the creative concept: the creative idea stays with the agency. Wanamaker works with the photos and videos from the agency's productions, together with the copy that goes with them. The platform turns these into assets for every channel: the right crop, logo, call to action and copy, in every format.

Is Wanamaker a SaaS product?

No. Wanamaker sets up a dedicated platform for each brand, built around that brand's processes, specs and way of working. That is why there is no standard price list and there are no per-user fees. Every organisation receives a bespoke proposal.

How it works.

How does the platform work?

Wanamaker's platform has four components. The Brand Hub holds brand guidelines, image library, product data and channel specs. AdQ informs where the guidelines are silent. The Briefing Writer writes a briefing per audience and channel. The Assembly Engine then builds every asset from the brand's own imagery, in every format the media plan requires.

Does Wanamaker create images with AI?

No. Wanamaker only works with photos and videos made for the brand, such as shoots, manufacturer imagery and agency productions. The AI turns that existing imagery into assets based on rules: crop, placement of logo and call to action, and copy. What appears in the ad was really shot that way.

Does content from Wanamaker need an AI label?

No. Article 50 of the EU AI Act requires image, video and audio generated or manipulated by AI to be marked as such. Deepfakes must also be disclosed. Wanamaker creates no new imagery. The key visuals and videos are always the brand's original material. The platform turns that material into usable marketing assets with standard edits: crop, format, logo, call to action and copy. The content of the image does not change. The output therefore falls under the exemption for standard editing and needs no AI label.

How quickly is a complete campaign set ready?

Within one hour of briefing approval, Wanamaker's platform delivers the complete campaign set for every channel, every format and every market. An extra format or market does not restart the whole chain.

Who decides what goes live?

The brand's marketing team. The team reviews every set, adjusts where needed and approves before anything goes out. A correction only changes what was pointed out and then becomes a fixed rule in Wanamaker's platform, so the next campaign is right first time.

Which channels and formats does it support?

Wanamaker delivers approved sets in the right specs for Meta, TikTok, Google, YouTube, LinkedIn and the brand's other channels, from display to Stories, Reels and Shorts. A connection to buying and optimisation platforms such as Billy Grace is also possible.

AdQ and effectiveness.

What is AdQ?

AdQ, our standard for advertising quality, describes six things a digital advertising asset needs to do at once to work: fit its placement, earn attention, make the brand recognisable, create an emotional response, ask for a next step and be genuinely different from the rest of the set. Those six layers: fit, attention, branding, connection, direction and diversity. They are worked into the briefing before the Assembly Engine starts building.

What makes a digital ad asset effective?

Nielsen and NCSolutions show that the creative itself accounts for close to half of the sales contribution. In digital that rises to 56 percent, because the spread in creative quality is far wider than in broadcast. So the question is not how fast assets can be made. It is whether every asset does the six things it needs to do.

How long does an ad need to be seen to be remembered?

Amplified Intelligence places the threshold at 2.5 seconds of active attention. VCCP Media and Amplified found that 1.5 seconds can be enough if the asset carries strong brand cues. Beyond roughly 20 seconds the returns diminish. Duration is not the goal. Quality of attention is.

What are distinctive brand assets?

Distinctive brand assets are sensory triggers that bring a brand to mind without the brand name being shown: colours, shapes, characters, sounds and silhouettes. They are measured on two axes. Fame is how many people link the trigger to the brand. Uniqueness is how many of those people name only that brand.

How many brand cues should an ad contain?

Four or more. CreativeX studied over 300,000 creatives and found that ads with four or more distinctive brand assets show 28 percent higher ad recall and 45 percent lower cost per completed view. Right now 61 percent of ads use only one or two brand cues.

Why does creative diversity matter more than creative volume?

Meta's Andromeda engine reads the content of the creative and predicts which user each ad suits. Assets that look alike are collapsed into one entity. Fifty variations on one concept perform like one asset. Ten genuinely different concepts perform like ten. What counts is diversity in angle, not volume in format.

What is the ABCD framework?

ABCD is Google's creative effectiveness framework, validated across more than 17,000 campaigns. A is attract: get to the point quickly. B is brand: show brand elements early. C is connect: use emotion, sound and on-screen text together. D is direct: close with one clear call to action.

Pricing.

How is the price structured?

Wanamaker's price has four parts: a one-off investment to set up the platform, a monthly fee for maintenance, updates and support, a separate quote for each new feature and usage costs for AI tokens. Because every platform is set up to measure, there is no standard price list but a proposal for each brand.

How quickly does the investment pay back?

For organisations that need a lot of digital assets, across many markets or with many product launches, the investment in Wanamaker is recovered within 6 months. Production costs are at least 50 percent lower and lead times go from weeks to hours.

What does usage cost per campaign?

With Wanamaker, AI token usage is shown for every campaign produced. Because the platform assembles from existing imagery rather than creating new imagery, these costs stay low: from a few dozen to a few hundred euros per campaign.

How are new features priced?

Every new feature gets its own quote from Wanamaker. These features are built AI-native too, so they are delivered quickly and at low cost. Examples include onboarding an additional product, an extra brand or market and a link to buying and publishing.

Security and ownership.

Where is the data stored?

All data and material of Wanamaker clients is stored on servers within the EU. Wanamaker complies with the GDPR and signs a data processing agreement with every client.

Is brand material used to train AI?

No. Wanamaker only works with business AI services that do not use submitted material to train their models. A data processing agreement is in place with every service that processes data. Each brand also has its own secure environment, separate from other brands.

Who owns the platform, the data and the output?

The Brand Hub, the material, the data and all output belong to the client. The technology behind the platform belongs to Wanamaker and is licensed. When the collaboration ends, Wanamaker hands everything over as agreed in the contract.

How is the platform secured?

Wanamaker tests every platform against the OWASP Application Security Verification Standard and follows the OWASP guidelines for language models for AI applications. Each brand gets its own environment where only authorised users can log in. Specific security requirements, retention periods or an IT review are discussed upfront and built into the set-up.

Getting started.

How does a collaboration start?

A collaboration with Wanamaker starts with a short intake on the material, the volume and the processes, followed by a bespoke proposal. Organisations that want to see the platform at work first can share a campaign that has already run. Wanamaker rebuilds it in one hour and compares both sets on time, cost and quality.

Send us the last campaign. We rebuild it in one hour.

Share a campaign that has already run, with the source material. The same set comes back on the brand's own specs and we put both side by side: time, cost and quality. With the first brands, we sit alongside the marketing team and review the output together.

Prefer to meet first? We come by for an hour to see how production runs today. Free of charge.
